Job Title: Communications & Sustainability Executive
Location: BGC, PH (Hybrid)

The Communications & Sustainability Executive supports day-to-day internal communications, events and sustainability initiatives for Unilever Philippines. The role reports directly to the Communications Lead and has a dotted-line reporting relationship with the Sustainability Manager, working closely on sustainability priorities, data and disclosures.

The Communications and Sustainability Executive may also co-manage an external third-party associate to help with the work.

RESPONSIBLITIES


Overall workstream allocation: 45% Internal Communications & Events | 45% Sustainability | 10% Corporate Housekeeping and Reporting

45 % Internal Communications and Events

  • Deliver day-to-day internal communications, (e.g. leadership messages, brand initiatives, or function-led projects) across Unilever-owned channels. These may be executed as written communication, internal and external events, and/or visual assets in Unilever’s internal or owned channels.
  • Management of external facing channels, including social media and the Philippines corporate website
  • Evolve the Internal Communications workstream, including the transition from traditional platforms to empowering colleagues via AI and the Microsoft Suite and the transition of Business Units in their internal communication management, including townhalls


45 % Sustainability

  • Tracks and consolidates monthly performance of external sustainability partners against assigned targets and submission of related internal global reports
  • Support the delivery of a Philippines sustainability report following the ISSB’s International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) S1 and S2 standards
  • Support the delivery of sustainability priorities in the Philippines through research of trends, policies, and best practices and coordination of programs and events


10% Corporate Housekeeping

  • Liaise with relevant functions to keep CCAS informed and connected across the organization
  • CCAS Budget management
  • Other internal reportorial requirements as deemed necessary by the CCAS function


Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a role related to sustainability and communications or marketing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Teams and Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Filipino and English
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication trends, including AI
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to develop and execute project briefs in collaboration with internal teams and/or external agencies
  • Experience coordinating events or activations, either virtually or in person
  • Experience managing sustainability or ESG-related projects
  • Familiarity with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
  • Familiarity with sustainability frameworks such as IFRS, GRI, etc.
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with timebound deliverables
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, sustainability, environmental science, economics or related field is preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Viva tools, especially Viva Engage and Viva Amplify
  • Basic design or content creation skills (e.g., Canva, PowerPoint, or video editing tools)
  • Knowledge of environmental standards and regulations
