Since 1998, Wahana Visi Indonesia has carried out various community development programs focusing on children. Hundred thousands of children in Indonesia have been benefited from WVI’s accompaniment program. Wahana Visi Indonesia is a trusted partner of World Vision International.

Key Responsibilities:

The purpose of this post is to develop project’s communication strategy, both internally and externally through various platform, such as digital database, social media, websites, and other media networks. S/he will develop and produce innovative multi-channel content to increase the visibility of the project, as well as, be the liaison with the media in handling public relations, information output, press releases and media requests, social media and/or advertising efforts. S/he will be responsible in designing, writing, and editing publication and advocacy communications materials for the PASTI Program.This position will report to National Program Manager.

Communication Planning

  • Develop communication Strategy of PASTI Project and detail communication workplan in Consultation with NPM  

Communication to achieve programmatic objectives

  • Produce, monitor, and review communication materials to achieve programmatic objectives, based on target audience.

  • Provide guidance to project PASTI to produce most significant story of changes that can contribute evidence based impact for program reporting.

Accountability

  • Produce impact stories of project as part of accountability to donor and project exposure.

  • Doing documentation or reviewing all documentations produced by external parties, both photos and videos.

  • Review all report or any communications products and ensure the implementation of WVI’s branding guidelines.

  • Actively engage with the project team to gather story from them

  • Prepare media tools & documents including press release, brief docs, articles, and others tools to expose the WV impactful stories in PASTI project, and involve in media event.

  • Ensure timely delivery of communications & visibility.

Management

  • Provide monthly report of communications activities in PASTI project

  • Build and maintain positive spirit of working in team with other staff in respective unit and department 

  • Provide Christian value and support to enrich the organization's life, faith, Christian commitments and ministry to the disadvantaged children and communities we seek to serve.

  • Facilitate in the practice of spiritual discernment and prayer.

  • Develop and manage annual performance agreement

  • Be a role model and inspiration in managing work, communication and relationship with internal staff and external parties.

  • Manage all risks related to PASTI according to organization policies, guidelines, and standard. This includes risks in fraud, safeguarding, and other related risks.

Requirement

  • Minimum 2 years professional experience in media and communications, journalism and/or public relations.

  • A Bachelor Degree in Communications, Organizational Communications, or other related courses.

  • Excellent written and verbal skills, with technical skills in interviewing and photography.

  • Excellent interpersonal, cross-cultural and communication skills.

  • Able to remain calm, focused, and effective under pressure.

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, manage to plan and meet deadlines.

  • Working independently and as an active team player.
