The team
You will be part of the Employee Experience & Operational Excellence department. Our team consists of three communication and content advisors and eleven Employee Journey Experts. We communicate with employees and managers across ING Netherlands, always viewing things from their perspective. Collaboration is key, we work closely with our HR Director, Local and Global People Services, Centers of Expertise, HR Business Partners, external suppliers, and our centralized People Services teams in Katowice and Manila.
Roles and responsibilities
As a Communications Expert Employee Journey, you will play a hands-on role in delivering clear, accessible, and engaging HR communications. Your responsibilities include:
Creating and publishing content on the intranet
Developing internal campaigns (briefing, agency coordination, execution)
Writing and editing texts in the appropriate tone of voice
Designing and sending mailings
Supporting process communication within HR
Providing communication advice to colleagues and senior management
Managing the communications calendar

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
A completed education at a minimum Bachelor (HBO) level, preferably in (Organizational) Communication or Marketing Communication
2–5 years of experience in internal and/or HR communications (process communications, campaigns, agency management)
Strong writing and editorial skills
Advisory skills and stakeholder management experience
Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams) and Spotler
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks
Sensitivity to organizational dynamics and strong interpersonal skills
Fluency in Dutch and English
Alignment with ING’s values and willingness to take the bankers’ oath
