Commodity Strategy Program Manager, Personal Systems

Description -

We’re looking for a strong Commodity Program Manager in Personal System team to lead cross‑functional engineering programs, drive commodity strategy, and ensure smooth execution across qualification, supply continuity, and prototype builds for all the buy and sell commodities : panel, memory, Storage (HDD/ODD, SSD, eMMC and UFS), adapter, AC cord, power supply, battery, and etc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multi‑functional program teams and manage schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables.

  • Oversee logistics of parts for engineering builds and prototypes across multiple projects.

  • Develop and execute commodity qualification plans, track progress, and drive issue resolution with engineering teams.

  • Implement mitigation plans to manage shortage risks and ensure supply continuity.

  • Drive cost‑reduction initiatives, multi‑source strategies, MOQ negotiations, and ROI analysis.

  • Partner with system teams, ODMs, and cross‑functional groups to support urgent qualification needs.

  • Provide clear program updates, escalate issues, and maintain governance through meeting notes and action tracking.

  • Mentor junior team members and promote best practices in documentation, process control, and technology integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in program management and familiar with commodities.

  • Strong project planning, cross‑functional leadership, and communication skills.

  • Experience driving complex programs and strategic commodity decisions.
