What you will do

In direct support of the Director of Strategic Sourcing, manage a team of Sourcing Manager(s) ensuring that all commodity specific objectives are met.  Develop strong relationships with suppliers, peers, and internal management and customers, which will culminate in the establishment of Long Term Agreements (LTA's), and other initiatives all of which will contribute to company goals.  Emphasis on collecting and analyzing data in preparation for LTA negotiations, and managing cost reduction initiatives.  Develop and implement innovative strategies that effectively secure cost and capacity advantage.

  • Develop and lead Sourcing Managers to effect the commodity objectives
  • Contracting & Cost Management
  • Lead supplier contract negotiation through approvals & execution.
  • Maintain physical agreements & SAP data
  • Flow down contract elements to the tactical organizations for order placement
  • Achieve commodity cost reduction goals
  • Responsible for recurring cost review meetings (POR, LRP, WOC, etc)
  • Maintain a robust and accurate pricing forecast in conjunction with Finance
  • Strategy
  • Develop and execute upon sourcing strategies to support supply & cost objectives
  • Lead the annual Strategic Sourcing Review (SSR) process
  • Identify and evaluate new and existing suppliers for future sourcing packages
  • Develop long term strategic relationships for strategic influence
  • Ensuring compliance at all times with Export, Ethics, legal and corporate policies and initiatives.

Qualifications you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or related field and Ten years of experience in procurement, purchasing, strategic sourcing and/or commodity management or related field within or in support of a manufacturing environment
  • U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications we prefer

  • Must be proficient in SAP, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must be proficient with business cases / financial models

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
