About the Role:
As the Commercial Transformation and Governance Manager at Alcoa, you will be responsible for driving the transformation of Alcoa Commercial’s function performance while maintaining ongoing governance. To achieve this, you will develop transformation strategies and roadmaps, drive execution of projects/programs, and lead key performance management processes of the function. Specifically, you will be responsible for the ComEx (Commercial Excellence) 3-year transformation, and for managing the annual growth conferences with the Executive Team – Growth Vision Conference and Growth Execution Conference.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing stakeholders to frame the annual growth vision and growth execution strategies for presentation to the Executive Team;
  • Drive alignment on the strategies from the Commercial Lead Team;
  • Develop and maintain the program of projects that will drive achievement of the 3-year ComEx transformation vision;
  • Manage strategic initiatives as assigned by the Vice President of Marketing and Commercial CoE. These are in a variety of areas including but limited to sales and marketing processes, operating model, organizational development, commercial methods, and other special initiatives;
  • Contribute to definition of Commercial performance objectives in consultation with the Commercial Lead Team;
  • Lead the tracking and reporting of Commercial performance against objectives.
     

What you can bring to the role:

  • Bachelor of Business, Commerce, Engineering, Science, or related discipline. Master of Business Administration or related discipline is an advantage;
  • Solid experience in program management;
  • Solid experience in Sales or Marketing, preferably in commodity-based markets;
  • Confidence and poise in engaging and presenting to senior and Executive Leadership;
  • Highly capable and comfortable leading and influencing multi-cultural teams, building relationships, challenging the status quo, and creating compromise;
  • Preferred: Familiarity with the dynamics of the aluminum value chain, including market trends, pricing mechanisms and logistics;
  • Fully proficient in the English language, verbal and written.
