About the role:

This exciting 12-month fixed term parental leave cover is a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Strategy & Pricing Manager to join our Food & Beverage team at our Head Office in Macquarie Park.  Reporting directly to the GM Food & Beverage ANZ, you will be responsible for driving pricing strategy, financial oversight, and inventory risk management to enhance profitability.

The investigation and reporting of business performance data, identifying trends and patterns to gain insight and provide actionable recommendations that drive sales and market growth, will be critical.  You will make extensive use of data, statistical and quantitative analysis as well as predictive modelling to provide insights to key internal stakeholders. 

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Review current process & make step changes as needed

  • Manage and lead price increase process for contracted and non-contracted customers to ensure full delivery of price adjustments as required by relevant contracts.

  • Analyse price, volume and profitability data for key divisional categories and customers. Communication of business implications and actioning solutions. Analyse trends, and competitive / market realities

  • Fixed fee billing management

  • Account optimisation

  • Actively monitor inventory risks related to ARIG (At Risk Inventory Governance) and ARIF (At Risk Inventory Forecast).

  • Collaborate with the sales team and supply chain to mitigate financial exposure from product obsolescence or shifting demand trends

  • COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) monitoring & pricing adjustments

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with our internal and external stakeholders

  • The ability to be a self-starter who can work in a fast-paced environment and manage ambiguity with an appropriate sense of urgency

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

  • The ability to work cohesively within in team

Technically speaking you will:

  • Bachelor's degree Business, Economics or Marketing

  • Experience in pricing, accounting, finance and/or marketing

  • Proficiency to manipulate large data sets using Microsoft Excel including visualisations

  • Experience with pricing analytical tools will be considered favourable

  • Project management and/or management consulting experience, preferred
