Shrink (Unknown loss) within our business is a big drain on profitability. Analysing and understanding the causes of this is key to drive profits and make a successful business. As a Commercial Shrink Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to work across the business and drive the loss prevention and commercial shrink engagement agenda. In a fast paced environment, it is important that we react to ways of working and new risks emerging within our business through data to mitigate shrink and increase profitability.

Your Role:

  • Utilise Loss Prevention MI to analyse patterns and emerging trends within retail.

  • Deliver detailed performance updates on trading categories and high shrink area’s within the business to senior leadership teams.

  • Develop and understand MI Data with the ability to ‘join the dots’ and draw conclusions based on activity and insight.

  • Establish and maintain credible working relationships, including joint planning, prioritisation and communications.

  • Work collaboratively across teams in Asda including Central Team, Retail Teams, and External Stakeholders.

  • Work with the Wider Loss Prevention team to support with activity and MI analysis.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Demonstrate clarity of thinking – clear, logical & methodical approach to problem solving; both ahead and ‘in the moment', remaining calm and engaged to resolve at pace

  • Must be a pro-active self-starter with ability to manage own workload

  • Good communication skills with strong organisational, time management & prioritisation skills

  • An understanding of stores current operating model, processes and ways of working.

  • An ability to spot opportunities to make it simpler with innovative thinking.
