Commercial Excellence Manager – Benelux & Nordics (BxN)

In this role you will become the key support function for country executional performance and deliver quality performance insight on the frontline sales teams. Our team is looking for someone who can spot opportunities to drive performance of sales teams and win at the point of purchase.
This role involves generating and presenting monthly critical metric performance reports with actionable insights, conducting market co-visits and bi-monthly FSM meetings to address performance gaps, and providing targeted coaching and feedback.
Top Accountabilities
Strategic Commercial Partnership
- Act as the primary strategic sparring partner for Commercial and Field Sales Leaders, supporting them in translating strategy into high‑impact field execution.
- Provide structured coverage optimization guidance (e.g., territory design, route‑to‑market efficiency, segmentation recommendations).
- Deliver performance analysis and opportunity diagnostics to help leaders prioritize where and how to deploy resources.
- Support commercial leadership with clear, data‑driven decision inputs that strengthen planning, execution, and coaching routines.
- Partner closely with market sales managers to ensure alignment between commercial priorities, execution capabilities, and field performance realities.
Market Insight and Performance Monitoring
- Produce and present a comprehensive monthly market performance report, delivering actionable insights and highlighting best-in-class execution approaches.
- Conduct at least one co‑visit per month with field sales teams to identify on-the-ground operational challenges and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Analytics Team to maintain a consistent, relevant monthly reporting cadence tailored to market leadership needs.
- Provide timely, accurate input into Monthly Business and Demand Reviews, supporting the commercial narrative with market-specific progress and attending key meetings where needed.
- Establish a structured feedback loop with the Capability Team to communicate learning needs and recommend targeted e‑learning content—from onboarding to continuous upskilling.
Target Setting and Management
- Lead the annual Sales Incentive Plan process by setting market‑aligned targets consistent with Northern Europe strategy; monitor performance and compile all bonus metrics for field sales and field sales managers.
- Proven strength in senior partner management, confidently engaging with commercial and cross‑functional leaders to influence decisions, align priorities, and secure commitment for execution.
- Hold regular performance review meetings with Market Sales Leads, identifying gaps in execution and defining corrective actions.
System Management
- Work in close partnership with Technology Product Owners to ensure field data collection tools function reliably and meet operational needs.
- Collaborate with data leads to ensure sales support systems reflect current targets, territory structures, and market driven configuration updates.
- Identify, train, and support Market Leads as system “super users,” coordinating ongoing training and providing feedback for additional e-learning support where required.
About You
- 5+ years of experience working in or closely with FMCG commercial frontline sales teams.
- Strong commercial competence with proven abilityfind opportunitiesties through data and translate insights into execution.
- Experienced in managing senior partners and presenting detailed performance information clearly and impactfully.
- Advanced computer literacy and data management capability, with strong proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
