This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build expertise in marine and cargo risks, support a growing specialty book, and gain hands-on experience in complex commercial placements.
What You’ll Do
Provide prompt, professional support to clients and internal stakeholders, responding to inquiries and processing routine service requests
Prepare client-facing documents such as certificates of insurance, binders, letters, policy summaries, and renewal packages
Accurately process policy changes, endorsements, and invoices using HUB’s broker management systems (e.g., EPIC)
Assist with compiling submission materials for underwriters and tracking outstanding information
Maintain electronic file documentation and follow HUB’s compliance and file management standards
Monitor and support collections by following up on outstanding premium balances and reviewing accounts receivable reports
Help track and maintain expiry dates, abeyances, and documentation for renewals and endorsements
Perform administrative tasks including data entry, internet research, and responding to third-party requests as needed
Support the senior Marine & Cargo team with ad hoc project work, reports, and client presentations
What You’ll Need for Success
RIBO license (or willingness to obtain within three months)
1–2 years of experience in commercial insurance (marine experience is a plus but not required)
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle a high volume of work with accuracy and responsiveness
Familiarity with invoicing, certificate issuance, and policy documentation processes
Demonstrated client service orientation and professionalism
Comfortable working independently and as part of a fast-paced team
