Enterprise Commercial Governance Leader

ROLE SUMMARY:

Join Baker Hughes’ Growth & Experience team in a high-impact leadership role, responsible for driving commercial governance across core and emerging markets. This role is pivotal in enabling Baker Hughes' strategic positioning and profitable growth by balancing commercial risks and rewards aligned with the company's multi-horizon strategy.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with key business and function stakeholders, including Commercial / Product Line / Legal / Finance teams, to align Baker Hughes’ commercial governance vision with customer and partner needs and Baker Hughes go-to-market strategy 
  • Translate vision into a comprehensive commercial governance architecture across the whole BH commercial process, from demand generation to opportunity conversion
  • Establish and enforce control mechanisms covering core and emerging markets for optimal risk/reward balance across key pillars of the overall governance architecture, including customer and partner onboarding, deal risk/reward assessment, and deal approval
  • Develop future-proof digital infrastructure for proper governance enforcement and oversight
  • Lead change management efforts for enterprise-wide socialization of governance requirements and support resources
  • Lead periodic reporting to the Executive Leadership Team for progress updates and identification of key areas of improvement
  • Develop and manage a high-performing commercial governance team, fostering innovative commercial modeling and process design capabilities aligned to customer/partner needs and Baker Hughes go-to-market strategy 

PIVOTAL EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE: 

  • 10+ years of experience in Commercial Governance, preferably matured in consulting firms across the energy sector. 
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams and influencing within a complex, global-matrix organization. 
  • Strong leadership, written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical content to diverse audiences. 
  • Proven ability to anticipate customer needs and drivers, enabling the closing of complex deals and business agreements. 
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems, take ownership, and execute results. 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Master’s degree required, preferably in business, maths, engineering, or related fields.
