Waste Connections has an immediate opening for a Front Load Driver at our Hauling site in Opa Locka, FL. The position will be responsible for driving a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste and transport it to appropriate disposal sites.
Pay Range: $25-30+/hr. DOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste.
- Utilize electronic route sheets to ensure timely and efficient waste collection.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers and the community.
- Perform a physically demanding job, including lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy loads.
- Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- 2+ years minimum commercial driving experience.
- At least 2 years of stable work history, with your most recent position being a CDL driver
- Able to lift 50+ pounds
- Clean driving record for the last 5 years
- Ability to operate a garbage truck safely and efficiently.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to perform a physically demanding job, including lifting and loading waste.
