About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Finance Business Partner to join our global finance team on a permanent basis during a period of significant digital transformation. Reporting directly to the Global Director of FP&A, this role will be pivotal in shaping commercial insight and supporting the evolution of our global finance capability.

The successful candidate will take ownership of a complex financial model, work closely with the business to refine commercial strategy, and translate data into actionable insights that drive pricing, profitability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Strategy & Business Partnering

  • Partner with senior leaders to develop, refine, and track the organization’s commercial strategy
  • Provide strategic insight into pricing, pipeline performance, and profitability to influence decision-making
  • Act as a trusted and balanced challenger, bringing commercial rigour and financial clarity to discussions
  • Identify levers for revenue and margin optimization, including pricing discipline and resource utilization

Financial Modelling & Analytics

  • Take full ownership of an existing complex financial model, ensuring its accuracy, transparency, and value as a decision-making tool
  • Conduct scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis to evaluate strategic options and commercial opportunities
  • Build and maintain forward-looking profitability models that integrate commercial and operational data

Reporting & Data Insight

  • Develop a suite of commercial reports and dashboards for senior leadership, the Board, and investors
  • Use CRM and pipeline data (e.g. Salesforce) to generate actionable insights on client, project, and revenue trends
  • Translate complex datasets into compelling visual and narrative outputs that inform strategic priorities
  • Collaborate with data and systems teams to enhance data integrity, governance, and cross-system alignment

Transformation & Continuous Improvement

  • Operate effectively within a finance function undergoing digital and process transformation
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and prepare for future finance system implementations
  • Support the adoption of BI and analytics tools to strengthen decision support

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Qualified accountant or Financial Analyst (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA etc) with strong commercial finance experience
  • Proven experience in professional services or consultancy, ideally within sustainability, ESG, or purpose-driven sectors
  • Demonstrated success partnering with senior leadership to shape and execute commercial strategy
  • Advanced financial modelling skills and the ability to connect commercial data to business performance
  • Strong data and systems literacy, with experience navigating and integrating multiple data sources
  • Proficient in BI or data visualization tools and comfortable working with CRM/pipeline data
  • Exceptional communication skills — able to challenge constructively and influence credibly across functions
  • Experience supporting or navigating digital transformation, with the ability to create clarity amidst change

Personal Attributes:

  • Strategic yet hands-on, combining commercial curiosity with analytical depth
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and delivering clarity under pressure
  • Collaborative and grounded, with a natural ability to build trust across global teams
  • Values-led and purpose-driven, with a genuine interest in sustainability and positive impact
  • Confident storyteller who can turn complex data into meaningful business narratives
