Director Commercial Excellence and Customer Analytics Lead – US Hospital

ROLE SUMMARY

The Director Commercial Excellence and Customer Analytics Lead for the US Hospital business leads a team of analytics experts to integrate enterprise initiatives and drive performance aligned with hospital strategy. This role collaborates across marketing, sales, and strategy teams to support launch readiness and optimize business impact through data-driven insights.

  • Lead analytics team for US Hospital: Oversees integration of enterprise initiatives, acts as hospital subject matter expert, and ensures alignment with broader hospital strategy while driving downstream execution and communication.  
  • Drive GTMx and AI-enhanced targeting: Develops and executes tactical plans adjusting go-to-market strategies, establishes measurement metrics, and leverages AI for improved customer segmentation and interactions.  
  • Champion Hospital NextGen Analytics: Builds AI and machine learning capabilities specific to therapeutic areas, supports portfolio marketing and customer-facing teams on strategy and KPIs, and leads GTMx implementation.  
  • Support launch readiness and commercial excellence: Engages in key launch activities for priority brands, supports enterprise initiatives, and partners with cross-functional teams to maximize customer impact and business performance. 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The individual should possess a combination of strategic thinking, analytical expertise, project management skills with excellent communication and presentation abilities. A growth mindset, strong matrix leadership and ability to influence others is required to help the US Hospital organization achieve aggressive patient impact and revenue targets. S/he will report directly to the US Hospital Customer Facing Strategy and Deployment Lead and collaborate closely with respective Sales, Marketing, CF Strategy, Medical, Customer Facing teams’ leaders and representative, and Digital.

Key responsibilities include:      

Accelerating Customer Analytics:

  • Development and execution of tactical plans to adjust the GTMX path forward based on assessment of learnings.
  • Work with BU and Operations and Excellence stakeholders to stand up relevant scorecards, trackers and metrics to assess GTMx impact with Hospital Customers.
  • Use AI and other critical data inputs to enhance targeting, customer segmentation and interactions with Hospital customer and critical stakeholders.
  • Performs ongoing predictive analytics on Hospital customer helping to drive improved strategy
  • Tests new customer data assets prior to operational execution

Leading within Hospital:

  • Hospital NextGen Analytics platform: build out TA-specific AI & ML capabilities; define a way of working model to ensure opportunities are identified/captured at Lightspeed.
  • GTMx & Transformation vision, strategy and execution – support Portfolio Marketing and Customer Facing Teams on metrics/KPIs development and pull-through tactics.
  • Development and execution of the BU GTMx implementation plan
  • Manage direct report (s) and third party analytic vendor

Supporting Customer Facing Strategy Development:

  • Key launch readiness activities and opportunities in portfolio growth brands (priorities to maximize customer impact and business performance
  • Commercial Excellence team (strategically and operationally) on Enterprise initiatives and GTMx partnerships with external customers

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • BA/BS Degree required.  MBA or other advanced professional degrees (e.g., PhD, JD) preferred.
  • At least 8+ years of previous pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales/consulting experience with a strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, broader trends in healthcare landscape and economics
  • Excellent analytical skills, including strategic thinking, ability to frame problems and opportunities using supporting data, problem solving and measuring impact.
  • Demonstrated self-starter, proactively identifying the need for specific analyses and programs, and marshaling the resources to evaluate and resolve the most challenging, strategic issues.
  • Ability to both drive strategy and execute with speed and high quality.
  • Executive presence and ability to influence and establish working relationships across leader levels.
  • Ability to manage large projects and create a team mentality to solving problems.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written, PowerPoint, meeting facilitation of different sizes)
  • Strong project and time management and organizational skills
  • Discretion and trustworthiness in dealing with confidential information.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience and understanding nuances in Hospital/Generic Injectable space is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency at leading complex projects and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with strategic and operating planning processes
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and understanding of working in a matrix environment.
  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop, and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
  • Thrive under pressure; takes accountability and meet deadlines
  • SQL or deep excel experience

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $169,700.00 to $282,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
