Commercial & Corporate Banking Fraud Strategy & Partnership Lead

About this role:

Wells Fargo Fraud & Claims Management (FCM) is looking for a Lead Business Execution Consultant to join the Commercial & Corporate Banking Payments Fraud (CCBPF) team in a Strategy & Partnership role. In this leadership position, you will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies to reduce fraud risk. This involves collaborating with teams within the department as well as other internal groups, including Global Payments & Liquidity Payments Product, the Wholesale Digital channel teams, and FCM, along with external industry partners. The Strategy & Partnership role leads the development of strong business cases, communicates these cases to gain support, and delivers solutions that enhance fraud detection, prevention, monitoring, reporting, and recovery efforts. 


In this role, you will:

  • Lead cross functional teams to strategize, plan, and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives
  • Drive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate
  • Review strategic approaches and effectiveness of support function and business performance
  • Perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations
  • Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans
  • Collaborate and consult with members of the Business Execution team and team leaders to drive strategic initiatives
  • Influence, guide and lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, delivering results in a fast-paced, high-demand environment while effectively managing multiple priorities.
  • Skilled in influencing decision-making, leading organizational, process, and technology change, and consistently achieving objectives.
  • Subject matter expertise in Fraud Prevention, Treasury, and Commercial/Corporate Banking payments—including ACH, Wire, Instant Payments/FedNow—with hands-on experience in fraud and commercial/corporate payments.
  • Proven experience identifying process gaps, developing solutions, and executing strategies within fraud prevention or payment transaction monitoring.
  • Strong enterprise project management skills, including risk assessment, strategy development, data analysis, change management, and directing cross-functional teams and resources.
  • Experienced in consulting with senior leadership and executives, presenting reports and status updates, and providing clear written and oral communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and Jira.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Fraud & Claims products, processes, and procedures.
