Commercial Business Development Officer

This role is responsible for developing new commercial relationships to prospects and clients and selling bank services & products to them. Incumbents typically do not have credit authority. Maximize existing relationship to drive new commercial business for all product lines and match client needs with appropriate products. Grows revenue as directed by senior management by successfully prospecting new business and making appropriate referrals. Develop a referral business process model and strategy to maintain & expand referral sources. Gather client data to be used in the selling process. Represent UMB and participate in community related, business and philanthropic events/activities to build network of prospects. Other duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field 2 years sales or business development experience Demonstrates working knowledge of credit Demonstrates customer centric focus with proven sales success Demonstrates knowledge of bank products, services, and bank operations Demonstrates ability to be self starter and show initiative Demonstrates excellent communication skills (verbal & written) Demonstrates proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint Demonstrates established time management and organizational skills

Compensation Range:

$56,890.00 - $109,270.00
