Airgas is Hiring a Commercial Business Developer

The commercial business developer will identifying strategic opportunities and lead actions that drive growth and profitability in long-term for the organization.

Main Accountabilities

  • Establish and maintain contacts to identify customer needs. Plan prospecting activities based on sales objectives.

  • Create a prospect list and prioritize visits. Manage opportunity detection and qualification.

  • Build trust-based relationships with customers. Propose AL technical solutions and coordinate site tests if required.

  • Prepare and present commercial proposals. Develop strategic partnerships and participate in tender reviews and contract negotiations. Update market-related dashboards and lists.

  • Coordinate with other internal stakeholders (eg. E&C technologies specialists) to develop a solution adapted to the customer's needs.

  • Protect customer portfolio from competitors through technical expertise. Identify competitor threats and report findings. Identify growth potential in assigned territory.

  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and AL events as needed.

  • Can also support the Account Management on technical sales (example : IM Sales specialist).

  • Set and measures overall performance standards for market segments and provides leadership to ensure targets are met.

Are you a MATCH?

Required:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in the industrial gas industry with demonstrated understanding of market dynamics, pricing strategies, and competitor landscape.

  • Experience working with gas pricing or commercial models in a B2B context, ideally within cluster markets.

  • Exposure to industrial applications of gases and their impact on pricing models would be beneficial.
