Commercial Analyst Manager

AutoStore is seeking a Commercial Analyst Manager 

The Commercial Analyst works closely with regional Commercial leadership, Commercial Data & Analytics and Commercial Finance to interpret and translate data into insights that deepen understanding and enable performance across the regions. The purpose of the role is to provide analysis and challenge that drive better decision-making; engaging effectively across AutoStore, joining the dots to form a view, make recommendations and drive outcomes where appropriate. 

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Performance interpretation 

  • Translate data/dashboards into insights, then insights into action. 

  • Provide fact-based, data-orientated insight with recommendations to regional Presidents and their leadership teams that drive better Commercial outcomes – such as optimizing discount strategy, lead generation, segment/market and partner performance. 

  • Work with Commercial Finance and RevOps to understand the relationship between Pipeline, Bookings and Revenue – use this knowledge to assist with assessing performance versus expectation and related impact on forecast mechanics (Note: Booking and Revenue forecast owned by Commercial Finance). 

  • More broadly, ensure consistent view/interpretation/translation of performance from global to regional to country i.e. ensure consistency between Commercial and Finance lenses. 

Regional planning support 

  • Assist with regional planning processes. 

  • Work with Commercial Finance to develop data-driven business cases, such as future resourcing requirements. 

Commercial performance reviews 

  • Support monthly regional business reviews (RoBs). 

  • Prepare presentation materials and narratives using tools and frameworks provided by Commercial Data & Analytics team and ad-hoc analyses as needed. 

Leading indicator monitoring 

  • Monitor Pipeline conversion and velocity trends at a regional/country level. 

  • Bridge Marketing initiatives and Pipeline outcomes. 

  • Take a longer-term view, flagging risks to Booking outlook early… also identify opportunities i.e. where should we be doubling-down/investing more? What are the trade-offs? (with Commercial Finance). 

Action tracking 

  • Actively drive and improve data literacy across the Commercial organisation, upskilling and advancing internal knowledge to increase self-serve capabilities. 

  • Track follow-up actions from performance reviews. 

  • Ensure initiatives are implemented. 

  • Ad-hoc analysis/support/coordination of initiatives (e.g. Partner incentives, B1 swap), etc. 

This list is not exhaustive and there may be other deliverables required as part of the role. 

Qualifications we are looking for

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably within Commercial strategy, operations, analytics or a similar field. 

  • Highly adaptable having worked in fast-paced environments, such as technology companies, scale-ups, or start-ups, where priorities shift quickly. 

  • Strong analytical and data skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into clear, actionable insights. 

  • Good working knowledge of PowerBI. 

  • Demonstratable career progression and increasing responsibility, showing impact within previous organisations. 

  • Results-orientated, comfortable working with ambiguity and able to structure problems and proactively drive solutions independently. 

  • Confident engaging with senior leadership, including preparing insights, recommendations and presentations for executives. 

  • Experience distilling complex topics into clear communication for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

  • Ideally based in or willing to relocate to Oslo or Berlin. 

  • Collaborative, growth-mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally across teams.

Work location for this role is: Lysaker in Oslo, Stavanger or Nedre Vats in Norway or Germany.
