The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and Tidelands Health are seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Colorectal Surgeon to join a growing community-based General Surgery Clinic in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. This role is an employed position within MUSC Health and practices within the Tidelands Health system to serve Georgetown and Horry Counties, the second fastest growing region in the country.

Required Qualifications:
Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery
Eligible for medical license in South Carolina
Experience with both traditional open and minimally invasive surgical approaches (laparoscopic and/or robotic preferred)
Ability to provide comprehensive care for benign and malignant disease of the abdomen, lower gastrointestinal tract, and pelvis
Position Highlights:
Comprehensive scope of practice: group manages the full breadth of colorectal surgery including endoscopic, anorectal, IBD, pelvic floor, colon cancer, and rectal cancer care.
Full access to endoscopic, advanced laparoscopic and several robotic surgery platforms.
Multidisciplinary Cancer Team: Colorectal Tumor Board consists of colorectal surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, and a clinical navigator. All members have experience and expertise, allowing for multidisciplinary approach to routine and complex cancer care for our patients.
Integrated general surgery / colorectal surgery practice with shared call coverage 1:5 with general surgery.

Close collaboration with colorectal surgery team at MUSC Charleston
