About the Role
For our Shared Delivery Center in Barcelona, we are looking for a communicative, organized, and detail‑oriented Collection Consultant who speaks native Polish and strong English.

You will join a diverse and friendly 6‑person team supporting the Polish market. The team is open, collaborative, and always ready to support new colleagues.
A 2‑week training package will be provided to make sure you feel confident and well prepared for your responsibilities.

Your Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely collection of outstanding customer balances according to Air Products’ Credit & Collections policies
  • Handle customer calls and emails within departmental targets; identify complaints and escalate when necessary
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Sales Representatives, and customers to resolve disputes, payment issues, and credit hold situations
  • Support and act as backup for other Collection Associates
  • Work closely with the Credit & Collections Team Lead on all credit-related matters
  • Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date customer account records and logs
  • Contribute to minimizing business investment in receivables and reducing interest losses
  • Perform customer ledger housekeeping and reconciliation in accordance with company standards

What We Expect From You

  • Languages:
    Native Polish & strong English – must have
    Czech/Slovak or Hungarian would be an advantage
  • Education:
    Preferably in Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
  • Experience:
    • Customer service experience and customer interaction – must have
    • Experience working in a corporate environment – nice to have
    • Handling high volumes of incoming calls, ideally within Credit & Collections
    • Experience with collections, dispute management, account reconciliations, and processing charges/payments
    • Ability to negotiate with customers and work closely with internal stakeholders

  • Strong interpersonal skills (verbal & written)
  • Strong sense of ownership
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Self‑motivation with a clear focus on objectives and results
  • Good understanding of customer accounts and general business workflows
  • Basic accounting knowledge (customer accounting is a plus)
  • Proficiency in MS Office; SAP is beneficial but not required
