What you will do as a Collection Lab RN:

  • The Collection Lab RN manages central lines for patients in the outpatient space and delivers care that is sensitive to the unique needs of the ages served by the clinic.
  • This RN performs sterile procedures such as PORT access and access to other central venous catheters to draw central or peripheral labs as part of the patient’s treatment plan pre, post, or independent of a clinic or infusion appointment.
  • Central and peripheral IV initiation and management
  • Order management, medication administration, and monitoring response to interventions.
  • Recognition and intervention of emergency situations
  • Preparing and delivering patient education
  • Monitoring and taking vital signs, chart reviews, documentation, and phone triaging.
  • Coordination of care with providers and care team including rooming and discharging, assessing appointments, and monitoring standards of care when needed.

What you will need:

  • Associate’s (ADN) or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse license
  • Maintain American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
  • Frequent administration of hazardous drugs and potential exposure to patient excreta

Location: 909 Fulton St. Minneapolis MN - Clinics and Surgery Center

Hours: .8 FTE, 32 hours per week

Compensation:

36.64 - 58.62 USD Hourly
