Coke Terminal Operator
The Marathon Los Angeles Refinery is currently seeking applicants to fill full-time Coke Terminal Operator positions at our Carson, CA location. The Coke Terminal Operator in the Operations Department will perform moderate skill level work using simple hand tools to keep area clean of coke. Drive skip loader, water truck and street sweeper. Clean up any coke spillage as necessary in the conveyor belt system, the screen house, the tunnel (belt 4) and other surrounding area. May have to work in small and confined spaces. Coke Terminal Operators are expected to remain in the role for a minimum of five years before transfers are allowed. To ensure safe operations, new hires must also successfully complete training and participate in continuous random drug and alcohol screenings. Successful candidates will have a solid understanding of physical science, chemistry, and mathematics, including algebra; a passing score on pre-employment test including mechanical aptitude, reading, and mathematics.
