COBRA Trainer & Quality Assurance Coordinator - Allegiance - Remote

As the COBRA Trainer & Quality Assurance Coordinator, you play a key role in developing confident COBRA Specialists, strengthening operational accuracy, and ensuring clients and participants receive consistent, high-quality support. This role blends training leadership, quality oversight, and hands-on collaboration in a fast-moving, purpose-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead onboarding and ongoing development of COBRA Specialists through structured training, progress tracking, and readiness validation.

  • Conduct regular quality audits, identify trends, and partner with leadership to drive continuous improvement.

  • Translate regulatory and procedural updates into clear documentation and targeted training sessions.

  • Maintain and enhance the COBRA procedure platform to ensure accuracy and usability.

  • Prepare and distribute audit insights and monthly quality reports to support coaching and workflow decisions.

  • Collaborate closely with the Senior COBRA Trainer/QA Coordinator and Team Leader to meet training and quality goals.

  • Support special projects and, as needed, manage a limited block of COBRA accounts.

  • Contribute reliably to daily workflow with professionalism and accountability.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in COBRA administration, benefits eligibility, or related health benefits operations.

  • Strong knowledge of COBRA regulations and working familiarity with HIPAA requirements.

  • Ability to train, coach, and communicate complex information clearly.

  • High attention to detail with strong auditing and analytical skills.

  • Proficiency with Windows-based systems and Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Preferred

  • Experience in training, quality assurance, or mentoring roles.

  • COBRA certification or willingness to complete certification within the first six months.

  • Experience in a regulated, service-focused environment.

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field.


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 20 - 30 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
