Position Summary

The CMP Process / Quality Technician is responsible for performing functions associated with manufacturing and/or system operations within CMP, such as working with equipment technicians, process technicians, and manufacturing in preventative maintenance setup and qualifications tasks, system support, failure analysis and documenting / following standard operating procedures related to the process and production of logic chips. The technician will collect and analyze data in order to quality CMP semiconductor manufacturing equipment for production of wafers. The sophisticated programs are used to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct in-line adjustments to products, instruments, equipment, or processes. The technician also determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Requires compliance with all health, safety and environmental management system guidelines.

Role and Responsibilities

Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Able to work well in a team environment and effectively communicate.

  • Able to understand and take direction from Samsung personnel and follow SOPs.

  • Basic ability to manipulate and utilize GUI interfaces on semiconductor equipment.

  • Proficient in MS Excel, WORD, PowerPoint and possess technical writing and communication skills.

  • Monitor Equipment/Process: Monitors equipment and processes in post PM state and proactively looks for ways to improve processes.

  • Experience in analyzing SPC and/or trend charts and structured problem solving techniques.

  • Works on problems of limited scope o Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, repetitive, and very specific.

  • Must have basic understanding of equipment.

  • Needs to be adaptable to constant change and be flexible to meet business needs.

  • Abides by existing rules and systems within Samsung; Lean / 5S concept exposure preferred.

  • Reliable and punctual attendance required.

Skills and Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:

  • 2 year college degree or technical degree (Associates degree or equivalent related Military experience).
  • 5-10 years of related experience.
  • CMP Semiconductor or high volume manufacturing experience preferred.

The current base salary range for this role is between $18.60 - $45.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
