The role of CMO Business Partner Lead for EMCO, Brazil, Mexico and LATAM is a unique opportunity to orchestrate a cohesive and integrated CMO model of capabilities and platforms to enable regional commercial leadership maximize business outcomes and enhance customer experience. This role is the primary interface between for the Chief Marketing Office (CMO) teams, except for commercial analytics and regional commercial leadership in EMCO and Latin America region, ensuring alignment with business priorities in support of Pfizer’s mission of bringing breakthroughs that change patients’ lives.

The role reports to the CMO International Business Partners Lead within the Global Commercial Excellence & Enablement Organization in the Chief Marketing Office. As a strategic, cross-functional leader with a comprehensive understanding of business drivers, this role ensures consistency of capabilities, effective collaboration, and the implementation of a marketing excellence framework.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The CMO Business Partner Lead for EMCO and Latin America (Brazil, Mexico, and LATAM clusters) is responsible for orchestrating CMO capabilities—excluding commercial analytics—to enable flawless execution of business priorities set by EMCO and Latin America commercial teams. Acting as a strategic business partner, this role leverages strong commercial and business acumen to drive capability consistency, enable effective collaboration, and deliver execution excellence across CMO platforms. The ultimate goal is to maximize business outcomes and elevate customer experience.

Key responsibilities of this senior business partner role are:

Strategic Business Partnership

  • Act as the primary liaison between EMCO, Latin America leadership, and CMO
  • Represent EM regional commercial priorities in CMO planning and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Build strong partnerships with global marketing leaders, CMO SMEs, and EMCO/LATAM teams to address performance gaps and maximize business outcomes.
  • Simplify access to CMO expertise, including triage, escalation, and troubleshooting priority products (knots).

Marketing Enablement

  • Understand brand priorities and CMO value drivers to anticipate needs and deliver timely support.
  • Drive adoption of new CMO commercial capabilities and foster a high-performance marketing culture.
  • Optimize commercial operational execution through systematic tracking and insights sharing across brands and therapeutic areas.
  • Enable consistent adoption of the marketing excellence framework (SEE Model) across EM marketing teams.
  • Activate CMO innovative initiatives and cross-pollinate best practices across brands.
  • Collaborate with EMCO LT, BML/PML, and CMO teams to strengthen marketing plans, resource allocation, and capability adoption.

Operational Excellence

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to country presidents and commercial leaders, providing insights and leveraging CMO commercial operation expertise to accelerate business priorities execution and drive growth.
  • Drive strategic analysis and resource allocation for key commercial operations, including salesforce effectiveness, incentive plans, multi-channel engagement, and marketing transformation.
  • Ensure governance processes for issue escalation and resolution, maintaining alignment between local market needs and CMO priorities.

Effective Governance Model for CMO Capabilities & Platform Execution

  • Enable continuous improvement and simplification of ways of working among CMO and EMCO/Latin America teams, by maintaining seamless communication and effective alignment with business leads and bringing business input/insights to CMO LT for planning and implementation considerations.
  • Lead initiatives with a “One CMO” mindset and foster collaboration between CMO and Commercial teams.
  • Track performance metrics for CMO initiatives and convert insights into actionable improvements.
  • Promote change management and adoption of new capabilities to maximize business impact.
  • Encourage teamwork and best practices across CMO verticals and regional teams, leveraging learnings to enhance efficiency and agility.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 12+ years of experience in marketing or commercial roles across pharma
  • Broad knowledge of Life Sciences and healthcare ecosystems in Emerging Markets is preferred.
  • Track record of strong networking and working collaboratively across functions and geographies
  • Successful track record of creating and executing marketing strategies in major markets with accountability for decisions and business outcomes; experience with launch brands a plus
  • Strong analytical skills to conduct root cause analyses to diagnoses and prioritize the right problem/solution (i.e., solve the cause, not the symptom)
  • Lead cross-functional and cross-business projects and initiatives, identifying risks and removing roadblocks to enable the teams to achieve successful delivery
  • Demonstrating executive presence and strong leadership capabilities including: the ability to effectively influence senior leaders, engage and collaborate other leaders/peers, guide/support the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $230,900.00 to $366,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 25.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
