None/Not RequiredWe are looking for a highly skilled CMM Inspector responsible for ensuring that precision-manufactured components meet rigorous quality and dimensional standards. This role combines expert knowledge of metrology with hands-on operation of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to perform complex inspections, interpret 3D models, and verify conformance to customer, engineering, and industry specifications. The CMM Inspector analyzes measurement data, prepares detailed inspection reports, and collaborates closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve non-conformances and drive continuous improvement. Success in this position requires strong technical aptitude, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest levels of accuracy, compliance, and product integrity
What you will do:
Perform detailed product inspections on in-process and finished goods, including but not limited to First Article Inspections.
Qualified in performing Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) functions for Zeiss Contura machine.
Qualified in programming, writing and editing CMM programs, either manually or using software, to ensure the machine can perform automated measurements. Document characteristics of products accurately and with technical detail.
Initiate quality notifications for any non-conforming products.
Apply quality assurance procedures and requirements to the inspection of hardware and to document reviews.
Identify any potential quality issues early and help to prevent their occurrence.
Communicate effectively to other Collins Aerospace personnel any quality issues needing resolution.
Flexibility performing duties within the Quality department, such as piece, part, inspection and processing non-conforming materials.
Qualifications you must have:
High School Diploma or AA/AS degree or other 2-year post high school training with 3 years of relevant experience
In absence of a diploma or degree, must have 7 years of relevant manufacturing, assembly, and/or construction / facilities experience.
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
Qualifications we prefer:
Must be able to use precision measuring tools.
Must have basic computer skills including the ability to use operating software.
Ability to pass color/vision test
