As a security advisor, you help develop and optimize security measures to align with corporate objectives by planning, implementing and overseeing best practices to strengthen Desjardins's security posture. You help develop the Desjardins Group Security Office's priorities and governance, and work on different aspects of our security practices. You're responsible for one or more sub-specialties, such as personal information and data protection, information security, physical security and financial crime and fraud prevention. You advise and assist clients and partners on major security-related initiatives and development projects. You propose solutions to improve or optimize standards, policies and programs. Your projects and initiatives require extensive knowledge in your field of expertise. You help identify and assess risks in your field. You serve as integrator for projects, processes and initiatives. You prepare recommendations, solutions and action plans based on the organization's objectives and priorities. You help solve complex problems using your analytical skills and detailed knowledge of your line of business. Coordination is critical. You interact with stakeholders working in other fields. Interpersonal skills are therefore essential. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Diagnose issues, risks, needs and challenges for your line of work to determine target outcomes.

  • Analyze data and conduct studies. Make recommendations to develop best practices and initiatives for the organization.

  • Design, update, implement and monitor legal and regulatory compliance action plans, programs, processes, solutions and tools to mitigate risks for members and clients and for the organization.

  • Help train internal practitioners, raise awareness and communicate information.

  • Help with outreach activities for internal and external partners and practitioners.

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience

  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • Knowledge of French is required
