Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $115,400.00 - $173,200.00. The salary rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience. In addition to the salary range identified herein, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $62,000.00.

Job Description

The Lead Performance Manager for Ecommerce, Retail 360, and F&I Intelligence and Automation is the main Digital Performance Manager responsible for leading, supporting, training, optimization, and driving revenue retention efforts across the Cox Automotive Digital Platform of products. This individual will work cross-functionally across CAI business units to maximize client performance and drive increased revenue from transactions and monthly recurring revenue of Digital commerce. Owning the retailer’s e-commerce strategy helps them achieve it, along with setting new goals and executing it for future success. Demonstrating the value of Ecommerce, Retail 360, and F&I Intelligence Automation presenting the best ideas, drive innovation and solutions to dealer clients, and match these to the client’s business goals, driving greater business value and relationship alignment between Cox Automotive’s Digital commerce.

The Ecommerce Lead Performance Manager is a trusted advisor to Rooftop GM, Dealer Group, and C-Suite relationships and can articulate the value of the Cox portfolio in a changing and challenging marketplace. They proactively work with dealers, local sales leadership teams, and account owners of accounts to implement mitigation strategies to improve client performance and prevent revenue risk for this Cox Automotive Digital Platforms.

This is a remote opportunity, and the incoming candidate may work from home but will travel extensively with overnights (60-75%) to support clients across the United States.

What You’ll Do:

  • Utilize available tools and resources to build client value analysis - having expert-level knowledge and ability to utilize all our analytic tools.
  • Grow the volume of transactions month over month by implementing successful marketing and process strategies. 
  • Provides solutions and business acumen to clients by articulating the business value of our Cox Digital suite of products at the executive level.
  • Lead in-store training, get buy-in at the levels of the store, drive change management. These goals include things like new comp plans, new retailing staffing models, talent for staffing, establishing exchange policies and having a successful online Retail and F&I presence.
  • Build and develop strong working relationships with customers and all users at all levels from corporate sponsors to teams completing digital ecommerce deal fulfillment (Start of deal online or in store to delivery and pickup) 
  • Lead and support retention strategies on accounts pending cancellation (PC) and proactively identify at-risk customers. Work with ‘at risk’ clients, determine action plans to turnaround and retain the revenue and relationship. 
  • Monitor and analyze account performance and trends to determine adjustments to dealer expectations, goals, and objectives to achieve results and drive higher ROI.
  • Partner with the full account team to develop a comprehensive understanding of the client’s business challenges and objectives to appropriately map Cox Automotive solutions and the associated business benefits to their needs.
  • Help clients with their profitability through process/people recommendations. Demonstrate responsiveness to clients and provide them guidance they need, not always what they ask for.
  • Ability to help clients with budgeting of product plus appraising cars sight unseen & establishing return/exchange policies. Closely monitor system ‘red flags’/emergencies with clients and take immediate action. 
  • Identify any risks to the client achieving their stated business goals and develop a risk mitigation plan, which may include:
    • Providing designated sales experts and rooftop support
    • Reviewing & analyzing financial information, business processes both Retail and F&I, and KPIs to understand client performance, discover problems, and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Empower sales partners to utilize available tools, data, and resources to execute retention efforts.
    • Influence and enlist other internal functional support services (e.g., marketing, operations, pricing, product, etc.) as needed to maximize retention efforts.
    • Take on a lead role in working with the product team on enhancements and prioritization of the product roadmap for all Cox Digital Products (Ecommerce, Retail 360, F&I Intelligence and Automation.) Be the voice of customer to product and strategy teams. 
    • Partner with local sales teams to enhance their understanding of the Retail 360 process, Ecommerce, and F&I Intelligence Automation. This role will prepare and empower sales partners to utilize available tools, data, and resources to execute retention efforts.
  • Represent Cox at national activities such as dealer client locations, industry conferences, and Cox Automotive Brand marketing events. Occasional travel to national events including the Cox Automotive Sales Summit, NADA, and corporate meetings.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline and 8+ years of experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 6+ years of experience; a Ph.D. and 3+ years of experience in a related field; or 12+ years of experience in a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in the Automotive Industry. Strongly preferred experience in retail automotive management, specifically experience in the capacity of Sales F&I, desking, sales manager (vendor and/or retail automotive experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years in a Cox Automotive Performance Management capacity (Digital Ecommerce, VinSolutions, F&I solutions and/or Digital Retailing experience strongly preferred)
  • Expertise and experience managing large, complex accounts at the most senior business levels (C Suite and other major dealer group executives) 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively navigate and mediate conflict and foster honest dialog.
  • Proficiency in using SFX. Technically savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other technology solutions 
  • Able to hold a compelling virtual meeting that drives positive outcomes for clients and company.
  • Outstanding relationship management capabilities with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Data driven decision makers with creative problem-solving skills 
  • Proven effectiveness at leading and facilitating executive meetings and workshops.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Exceptional listening skills and to be able to detect problem/risks without being in face-to-face situation, ability to ask open ended questions to provoke thoughtful disruption.  Client focus and excellent customer service skills/approach 
  • Highly motivated self-starter capable of working remote independently part of a remote based team 
  • Personal qualities and style requirements include possessing high energy, enthusiasm, resilience, determination, proactiveness, relentlessness and being highly driven. 
  • Data driven decision makers with creative problem-solving skills 
  • Understanding of dealership profit centers and ways to maximize each one, knowledge of Desking, Sales processes, Automotive Marketing, Digital processes, Automotive success strategy, and titling and registration processes.
