The Sales Manager will manage a sales team and the daily operations of a geographically specific unit within ALLO markets. A primary focus will be to help build a team in existing and future new markets. The sales manager is responsible for oversight and execution of all client services and ensuring rapid response and high satisfaction levels. It will be very important that the Sales Manager assist ALLO Business sales resources with meeting sales targets as identified, develop strong relationship with ALLO business sales management and account executives.

All ALLO teammates work as a team to provide exceptional customer service and efficiently connect new customers. You may be asked to assist ALLO in other matters for the betterment of the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience

  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding budgeted headcount and sales goals

  • A charismatic and enthusiastic leader with skill and experience in creating excitement and energy, building, and leading teams, and developing skills in others

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and initiatives in a fast-paced environment

  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train Business Sales staff

  • Set clear expectations and hold employees accountable when expectations are not met in a consistent and fair manner, including performance appraisals, coaching, and training.

  • Possess the knowledge and expertise to lead, guide, and develop business sales staff in their role

  • Identify knowledge and training gaps within the business sales team and develop plans to address them

  • Be familiar with reporting and analytics necessary to drive and support business decisions

  • Collaborate with other departments and support teams to achieve goals and objectives

  • Work allocated will consist of approximately 60% fieldwork and 40% office work

  • Coach to and follow ALLO’s Sales Process

  • Monitor the payroll process and ensure timely and accurate approval of all commission payments

  • Completes administrative tasks related to all sales activities and ensures their team does the same

  • Has a detailed understanding of ALLO product offerings and value proposition in the markets they sell in

  • Maintains current, in-depth knowledge of the marketplace, including competition, and ensures relationships with customers, business partners, and co-workers are positive and professional

  • Prepares reports as needed

  • Perform other duties as requested by leadership

  • Must know how to utilize Salesforce and run reports to provide sale pipeline, close lost, close won reports

Day-to-day duties typically include:

  • Attend customer meeting with your team members Participating in new marketing initiatives

  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events Help route rush orders and keep up with daily emails to move service orders to the finish line

  • Escalate rush orders or trouble when needed

  • Set up weekly meetings with sales associates and sales engineer to maintain pipeline

  • Weekly sales meeting with team members to review numbers and training

When it comes to the challenge of selling, other typical duties include:

  • Preparing PowerPoint presentations and sales displays

  • Developing quotes and proposals Negotiating and renegotiating by phone, email, and in person

  • Developing sales goals for the team and ensuring they are met

  • Overseeing the responding to Request for proposals.

To keep healthy relationships with clients, this mostly requires socialization. From simple chats on the phone to lunches and events or conferences, business sales executives must be sure to keep their customers happy. Of course, as with all office jobs, documentation is also a big part of the work. Business development professionals are also obligated to write reports and provide feedback to upper management about what is and is not working.
 


EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing

  • Additional professional qualifications will be an advantage

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 to 12 years of working experience in Business Sales

  • 3 years of experience in a senior management role within Business Sales

  • Telecom/ISP/Networking experience is required

To be an effective business sales executive, an individual must be:

  • Able to provide quality leadership to a large team of salespeople

  • Excellent selling skills, including closing ability, strong negotiation, as well as excellent people skills

  • Strong organizational skill

  • Possess strong technical and computer skills

  • Ability to travel to and from assigned territories and company facilities using a reliable personal vehicle or one of the fleet cars in your area

  • Must be able to work non-traditional work hours such as evenings and weekends

  • Ability to complete documentation accurately
