Why this role matters

This role provides coverage across the Hervey Bay Esplanade Family Store, Pialba Family Store and Maryborough Family Store. The role is responsible for handling the movement of goods in and out of the stores in the Fraser Coast Area. The role will also provide assistance in the overall productivity of the Family Stores and warehouse, in line with TSA mission.

About the role

We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Truck Driver, at our Esplanade and Maryborough locations. Reporting to the Senior Store Manager, this is a permanent, part-time position offering 30 hours per week.

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the General Retail Award, level 2.

You will successfully

  • Coordinate the pickup/delivery of all donated goods as per the instructions from the relevant Family Store Manager and in accordance with the written schedule, as per all WH&S manual handling procedures/protocols.
  • Maintain stock to required standards and ensure goods are stored and rotated appropriately.
  • Understand and determine the value of brands and quality products and carry out procedures related to TSA pickup protocols.
  • Provide retail floor assistance as needed including sorting, pricing and moving stock.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and uncluttered workspace.
  • Operate the company vehicle in a safe and effective manner in order to minimise the risk of injury, property damage, loss of life and ensure appropriate maintenance/service and cleanliness of vehicle inside/outside.

You will have (Requisite Skills & Qualifications)

  • Minimum 2 yrs experience in driving/operating commercial vehicles.
  • Previous experience in a customer facing role.
  • Competent computer skills and ability to use software applications to complete work and training goals.
  • Current valid Driver’s Licence.
  • First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • A reasonable level of fitness in order to carry out the duties of the position. This position will require physical ability to stand, sit and walk for long periods time. The role will require you to push, pull, lift, carry, restrain stock and climb ladders etc. such work will be undertaken in accordance with WH&S policies and procedures.
