Job Description Summary:

We are seeking a mid-level technology transactions associate with at least three (3+) years of direct experience for our California (San Francisco, Santa Monica, Silicon Valley), New York, or Washington DC offices. This associate will help support our growing, world-class technology transactions practice, which includes offices in New York, Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Santa Monica, Seattle and Washington DC.

Job Description:

The technology transactions practice handles complex, innovative technology transactions for some of the most prominent and startup technology, digital media, consumer technology, and life sciences companies in the United States and internationally. Our technology transactions practice works closely with our Corporate Group, which is consistently ranked as one of the top startup, IPO and M&A practices for technology and life sciences in the United States and internationally. In addition, the technology transactions practice works closely with other practices in our Intellectual Property Group and with our Litigation Group, both of which are also nationally and internationally recognized. 

 

Candidates should have experience in commercial, technology, IP licensing and digital media/consumer technology transactions, M&A, technology aspects of corporate transactions, and content licensing and distribution. In-house candidates are welcome to apply, provided they have prior law firm experience. Superior academic credentials and excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills required. 

 

We require that the candidate must be barred in the state of the office they are submitting their application for or are eligible to sit/waive into the next bar exam.

The anticipated range for this position is:

$260,000 - $390,000

Depending on the role, the actual base salary offered may depend upon a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

A discretionary bonus for eligible employees may also be available based on performance.  Additional information about employee eligibility for benefits and discretionary bonus will be made available upon request.
