Essential duties include the following:
- Serves as a contributing author of the corporate magazine and newsletter.
- Helps secure earned media opportunities by crafting press releases and media pitches that help tell the SWBC story.
- Gains experience developing communication campaigns by working with internal clients (human resources, training, community relations, etc.); including disseminating information and providing advice on best methods and/or channels for distribution; and writes and/or edits material for clients.
- Maintains open communication with colleagues on the Public Relations and Corporate Communications team by working in collaboration and keeping them aware of company news.
- Learns how to maintain the company's intranet with specific attention focused on content management, usability, and up-to-date company information.
- Creates, edits, copy writes, and produces content marketing for distribution on the company blog.
Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited university/college in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related program with a graduation date of May 2025 or later.
- Possess strong writing, editing, and grammar application skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Excellent problem resolution skills.
- Able to meet concurrent deadlines.
- Possess a passion and desire for learning and a proactive energy for getting things done.
- Display maturity and a high level of professionalism.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills with all levels of individuals.
