The Transformation Lead will work with the Director of Transformation and lead the development and sustainability of a Transformational culture within the North American Operations. Manage the assessment, prioritization, and execution of Transformation initiatives which meet yearly North American Transformation objectives set during budgeting. Assist in leading the deployment, integration, and sustainability of continuous improvement initiatives and performance strategies.
What will you do?
- Work to identify and capture opportunities for transformation. Prioritize and complete improvement opportunities with the Transformation team and Mosaic personnel, ensuring alignment with key business objectives. Assist with project portfolio, reporting status and initiative benefits.
- Assess and assist in leading the development of strategies and high value initiatives within the North America Business. This includes the implementation, optimization, and sustainability of these objectives.
- Act as change leader. Remove barriers and assist in managing risks to ensure completion of transformation initiative milestones. Escalate issues as required. Applies change management process, practices and methodologies consistently.
- Through formal assessment (such as, gap assessments) and informal visits, ensure that best practices are shared, and key learnings incorporated. Act as the liaison between departments and areas. Monitors dependencies across multiple inter-related projects.
- Teach and mentor employees to optimize ability to effectively implement transformation initiatives.
What do you need for this role?
- Bachelor's degree required. Technical or Business Related preferred.
- Minimum 8+ years relevant industrial experience; demonstrated leadership and management experience with an understanding of the dynamics of interpersonal relationships.
- Preferred 3+ years’ experience creating and executing continuous improvement and change management activities that drive organizational results and change.
- Very strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to use fact-based and well-thought-out arguments to challenge all levels or change behavior/techniques as required
- Must be able to influence across the organization to drive accountability and follow up for results
- Able to drive consensus among leadership to enable transformation and advance strategic prioritie
- Must understand basic problem-solving techniques, processes in plant, and essentials behind metrics and KPI’s
- Ability to facilitate discussions and identify root-causes of problems with all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in training, communication, presentation skills and development of materials
- Must have the ability to independently manage multiple projects, train and motivate a wide range of employees
- Must project a positive attitude, and display professional behavior in challenging situations
- Adaptable with ability to perform at a high level within a highly autonomous environment
- Formal training in Change Management and Continuous Improvement (i.e., Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Workout, SCRUM) is an asset, but not required
- Microsoft MS Office Suite
- Familiarity with plant operations software (i.e., PI, OIS and MOIS) and statistical analysis software (i.e., Minitab) - preferred
