Job Description
Pathways In Education is a non-profit organization that partners with public schools and other organizations to run guided distance learning, dropout prevention, recovery programs, college tours, overnight trips, and Experiential Learning Programs that enhance team work, resiliency, leadership, communication and social emotional learning. The Travel Trip Assistant will act as support staff within the Pathways Team while coordinating and/or executing various student programming including a combination of office work and field work.
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:*
- Acts as support staff for overall operations including both back office services and client facing services.
- Serves as liaison for misc client events – such as back to school nights, senior sunsets, etc.
- Act as a chaperone for student transportation to and from school sites.
- Ability to assist with student programming.
- Ability to jump in and support in various roles.
- Be a role model for the students.
- Perform other functions and duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, exercising reasonable judgment, in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with minimal supervision.
- Ability to synergize with students and staff to manage and monitor the growth of the program.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and demonstrate problem-solving skills, while maintaining courtesy, professionalism and a customer service attitude.
- Professional, mature and experienced working with a wide range of populations (experience with both youth and adult clients)
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to travel (such as, in the charter bus to camp and college locations).
Education and Experience:
- Experience at an camp/student program organization preferred.
- Must be 18 years or older.
Pay: $17.50/hr
