ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
General
Work with HR to recruit, interview, select, hire, and retain an appropriate number of employees to execute all Learning Management tasks and responsibilities at expected standards. Manage team results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job performance; coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards. Lead team members using a performance management and development process that provides an overall context and framework to encourage employee contribution and includes goal setting, feedback, and performance development planning:
Responsible for routine one-on-one meetings to support the continuous development of employees.
Responsible for performance review meetings to be held at a minimum of twice a year (according to the defined performance review cycle) including evaluation and documentation of employee performance and goal achievement.
Research, develop, implement, and maintain new techniques, processes, or systems of training delivery and operations for customer training, in support of end user product adoption and enablement. Ensure adherence to department Standard Operating Procedures, regulatory compliance and good clinical practices compliance. Foster cross-functional relationships with business development, product management, and operations teams to support the delivery of education programs for sponsors, sites, and patients. Establish, implement, and maintain quality standards for all aspects of learning management. Manage vendor relations and costs to ensure the successful implementation and ongoing performance of our system tools. Act as the relationship owner for those vendors.
Learning Management
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, Artificial Intelligence, and best practices in learning and development. Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency gains, and innovative approaches to enhance the learning experience. Provide oversight of system administration of learning systems including the learning management system. Ensure continuity of service with any planned internal or vendor release with respect to the functionality and integration of the learning management system. Act as primary system owner for any current/future R&D integration initiatives. This includes but is not limited to providing requirements/specifications, use cases, testing support, and issue mitigation. Capable of providing regular and on-demand reporting on available data for both internal and external use. Experience in leading system migration and integration projects, including communication and project planning.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS NEEDED:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Adult Education or Adult Learning or equivalent experience required. Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience:
- Proven leadership skills and experience, naturally integrate into an existing team and foster a collaborative, positive team culture and organize team to effectively accommodate internal and external client needs and deadlines.
- Experience in a fast-paced global environment; with an ability to work independently, and cross-functionally as needed. Preferred experience within clinical trial, healthcare, pharmaceutical field or related industry.
- Strong professional presence with the ability to lead/influence a diverse team (with and without authority) and collaborate with senior leadership and clients to identify solutions that achieve shared successes.
- Management/Supervisory experience preferred (direct people management, with teams of 5+ members).
- Experience in SOP development and firm knowledge of corporate procedural documents and processes including regulatory requirements.
- Understanding of metric management, systems implementation and multi-site management.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and delivering data-driven and narrative-focused presentations to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge of training applications, systems and tools (Absorb-LMS, Cornerstone-LMS, Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate360) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Innovative Mindset – willingness to question the status quo and drive implementation of alternative solutions. Think in solutions and opportunities.
- Fluent in English is mandatory and language skills of local country may be necessary.
- Valid passport and ability to travel.
