Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and eager-to-learn Co-Op student with an interest in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Management. The role involves supporting the Product Line Director and team members with various activities that contribute to the growth and development of our product lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Line Support: Assist the Product Line Director and team with daily tasks related to product development and strategy. This includes gathering information, organizing data, and supporting product planning activities.
- Market Research: Help with simple market research and competitive analysis to support our business development efforts. This might include looking up information online, summarizing key points, and sharing findings with the team.
- Roadmapping: Assist with creating and updating product roadmaps by helping to organize data and ensure plans are kept up to date. Support the team in maintaining timelines for product development.
- Team Collaboration: Work with different teams, including engineering and sales, to support communication and keep projects on track. You’ll have the chance to see how technical details are integrated into our business plans.
- Technical Support: Provide general assistance in analyzing data and identifying trends with guidance from more experienced team members. Help troubleshoot basic issues and learn more about product performance.
- Reporting & Documentation: Help prepare simple reports and presentations to share project updates with the team. Assist in keeping records of progress and activities in an organized manner.
- Project Assistance: Support small tasks within various projects, helping with scheduling, tracking progress, and learning about product management in a practical way.
Desired Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a degree program at Kettering University in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Management.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks.
- Interest in both technical and business aspects of product development.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- No prior experience needed, just a curiosity and eagerness to learn.
