Job Description
Fleet Services provides the Marine Division of Fugro with a significant competitive advantage by delivering professional, tailor-made Fleet Management, Fleet Development, and Fleet Personnel solutions.
The Technical Superintendent - Marine is the technical consultant responsible to the vessel management team consisting of the captain, chief engineer, and VSI and provides services to and monitors the vessels assigned and prepares and executes maintenance and repair periods, according to global standards for Fleet Management and management contracts.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead by example and prioritize Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and Environmental protection, ensuring the safety of employees, processes, customers, and communities.
- Reports, administrates and controls all responsibilities and tasks through the designated Computerized Management Systems (CMS).
- Services delivered in line with the Fugro (Standard) Vessel Management System and Fleet Services Management System Quality Management.
- Guarantees adherence to the Company's Quality standards by leading internal projects and tasks aimed at enhancing the company’s performance.
- Maintains adherence to the Company's policies on Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental protection; Ensures excellent HSSE statistics for Vessels/Projects Fleet Management and maintenance of the assigned vessel(s).
- Ensures that all maintenance activities comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and the Fugro Maintenance Strategy as specified in the ship management contract.
- Reviews all planned and repair work scopes reported and is consulted by and advises the VSI and Chief Engineer on technical matters.
- Continuous preparation of Maintenance and Repair Periods and the budgets thereof.
Job Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
- Possess current driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Possess or be able to obtain a valid passport.
- Having experience as a manager is preferred.
- Have experience as an asset manager, technical superintendent is preferred.
- Seagoing or closely related experience.
- Experience with MS Office-related software.
