Job Title
Strategic Capital PlannerThe Strategic Capital Planner is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to manage and optimize the company’s capital resources, specifically within the manufacturing environment. This role, with a global focus, is essential for ensuring sustained growth, effective resource management, and profitability.Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement capital allocation frameworks that align with the company’s financial and operational objectives, with a focus on manufacturing equipment.
- Evaluate capital requests for manufacturing machines, prioritizing investments based on expected returns, equipment lifecycle, and maintenance costs.
- Lead the capital budgeting process, including setting annual budgets for machinery and equipment upgrades or replacements, strategic projects and SG&A investments.
- Perform strategic and what-if-scenario planning, succinctly outlining key drivers and risks to projections.
- Model and summarize long-term business options to inform cases for investments.
- Refine and monitor metrics and KPIs to track the progress and impact of capital investments.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the strategies, priorities, and issues of the company and drive analysis and decision-making frameworks for capital investments.
- Work with leadership on capital portfolio prioritization and optimization, as well as improve the process by which we make capital investment decisions.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and market shifts. Using market research, identify emerging opportunities and threats, providing actionable insights to inform strategic decision-making.
- Partner with stakeholders from other functions (e.g. Commercial, Engineering, Manufacturing and HR) to develop informed recommendations and analysis.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Management, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or other related field.
- 7+ years of planning experience.
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Solid project management skills to effectively organize priorities and work under deadlines to produce high quality results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to lead change and drive results.
- System skills to organize data.
- Solution orientated mindset with a deep-seated desire to drive and optimize how we serve our customers.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite applications; emphasis on Excel.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross functionally. Inquisitive, creative, proactive and innovativeness are must have attributes.
- Ability to travel internationally/domestically up to 25% of the time.

Target Hiring Range
Annual Salary: USD 100,020.00 - USD 132,026.00Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
