Sales Support Manager Africa & Middle East
JOB PURPOSE:
The Senior Sales Support Manager, Africa and Middle East, reporting to the Manager, Distributor Sales, Africa and Middle East of Topcon, is responsible for leading our distribution sales and support efforts in Africa and Middle East Initially this role will be based in West Africa. The sales and support Manager will be responsible for managing the relationships with our distribution partners, developing and implementing sales strategies, driving revenue growth, and ensuring our products are effectively distributed in the market.
The Sales Support Manager will be the lead on all regional projects and manages the daily operations of the project. Oversees the resource allocation and workflow of all support activities and the preparation of reports to support sales teams.
CORE JOB DUTIES
Reporting to the Manager, Distributor Sales and Sales Account managers in:
- Finding, generating and developing new distribution/retail partners in order to sell the company’s products to end-users.
- Developing existing distributors in their technical skills
- Identifying potential new customers and business opportunities
- Maintaining existing relationship with a customer or group of customers
- Managing new orders and clarifying issues
- Studying, understanding and reporting market trends/analysis with the impact on the sales business
- Preparing, revising and submitting sales reports and other documentation
- Distributing information to the departments/ internal interfaces with filter for management
- Managing the existing distribution network for the complete product portfolio development and training
- Managing and planning the sales process from demonstration, sales, delivery, installation, and completion of the project.
- Work closely with the Operational team, the Professional Service team and 3rd party service suppliers to ensure a smooth Sales process involving the local business partners.
- Demonstrate solutions that meets the customer demands on job sites
- Technical sales training with our local partners to ensure the maximum utilization of the complete Topcon portfolio.
- Interact with different stake holders internally and externally, to identify and analyse potential problems and seek the best possible solutions to solve in a short term.
- Contributing to and Executing Topcon’s strategic vision.
- Exploring/seeking out new markets and initiates plans to capture new opportunities in the space.
- Delivering and Monitoring sales against defined budget.
- Providing sales forecasting and progress reports
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
- 5+ years of proven experience in distribution sales support, preferably in a leadership role.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in distribution sales support
- Proven leadership skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partners.
- Knowledge of Surveying, Civil Engineering and working experience on Construction or similar are preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets through distribution channels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with distribution partners and customers.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop relationships with distribution partners.
- Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to drive sales strategies and plans.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work in a team environment that promotes collaboration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Ability to travel within the assigned region as needed.
- Based in one country on West Africa region
- The knowledge of French and English language is needed for the position
This is a hybrid role working remote in West Africa
