CIP Operator

Four 10-hour shifts

Set Days Off: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday Every Week

Hours: 00:30 AM to 11:00 AM

Job Summary and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively monitor the shut down operation of cheese making equipment including but not limited to; Pasteurizers, separators, plate heat exchangers, analyzing equipment and cleaning equipment during the end of run shut down. Record and interpret data to make informed decisions and / or recommendations for optimum cheese making conditions. Interact with Operators, Sanitation Coordinators and Supervisors as well as Contract Vendors to ensure proper sanitation of the equipment noted above. Communicate with other operators to minimize down time. CIP all circuits as necessary and break down and clean all related equipment as needed to ensure sanitary conditions. Re-assemble all equipment prior to start up. Perform assigned Master Sanitation duties.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently required to stand, walk and climb stairs; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. This person shall demonstrate the ability to operate a mechanical foaming device. Must be able to safely lift and pour from 5 gallon (50#) containers of chemicals.

Mental Demands:

  • This position frequently requires mental demands. The ability to read, analyze, and interpret cheese make plans, operating manuals and process data.  The ability to work effectively under pressure is critical to this position.

Hourly Range: $29.63 - 34.91
