Job Description Summary
Provo City is looking for a part-time Parking Enforcement Officer to join our Development Services Team. Responsible, civic-minded individuals are encouraged to apply.

What is the compensation?

$18.00 per hour. (Payment will be made by direct deposit.)

What will I do?

  • Patrol, on foot and/or by vehicle, designated areas for parking violations.

  • Safely operate department vehicles.

  • Cite violators.

  • Assist other team members as needed and perform other related duties as required.

What do I need to apply? 

  • Sufficient knowledge and/or experience that demonstrates an ability to perform the duties of the job.

  • Basic computer knowledge is desired.

  • Must be 18 years of age and be able to respond to the work site within 20 minutes in emergency situations.

  • Valid, lawful Utah driver license.

  • Applicant may be disqualified for consideration on the basis of an unacceptable driving record as reflected by the State Department of Motor Vehicles.

What are the hours?

20 to 25 hours per week, in 5- to 8-hour shifts, Monday through Sunday. Actual schedule may be flexible and will be set by the supervisor based on department need.

What is the selection process?

Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted, with the first screening being held on November 20, 2024. Applicants must meet the minimum requirements listed above to be eligible for consideration.

Prior to appointment, applicant will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
