2 Open Positions: Global Dairy Category Manager (m/f/d) and Global Ice Cream Category Manager (m/f/d) 

Location: Vienna, Austria 

 

These roles are responsible for managing innovative & proactive new product development projects to drive growth through sales volume, value and profitability. The Global Category Managers will design and optimize our product portfolio’s strategy to meet the needs of customers today and in the future, to ensure AGRANA Fruit remains at the forefront of the food industry. 

 

The ideal candidates possess a deep understanding of product category management and project management. We are looking for passionate, proactive and driven individuals who have both commercial acumen and an understanding of food ingredients that can create value for our customers. The roles will collaborate closely with our customers, New Product Development teams and Sales teams, to identify and deliver new and commercially viable food solutions.

  • The minimum salary for this role is €51,169.16 gross per year, as per the collective agreement. Qualifications and experience may lead to higher compensation 

 

Tasks: 

  • Create and manage projects of proactive and innovative food products to enhance, extend and complete AGRANA Fruit's product portfolio 

  • Lead the definition, development & steering of the specified Category’s strategy through its product portfolio, pricing, network, and production capabilities, to drive AGRANA’s growth and profitability 

  • Lead and coordinate international teams to assess customer product needs and growth strategies, identifying opportunities for business expansion.  

  • Drive the acquisition of new sales opportunities by aligning tailored value propositions of our products with customer's brand positioning and strategic objectives 

  • Develop the AGRANA salesforce & community's understanding of the category's market size and dynamics, competition, customer requirements, innovations, and trends. 

  • Enhance customer engagement through collaborative projects and compellingly communicate our added value, portfolio & innovations 

  • Conceptualize products for trade fairs and events, ensuring AGRANA's impactful brand presence.  

Requirements: 

  • Dairy Category Manager must have Dairy industry experience and professional fluency in French and English 

  • Ice Cream Category Manager must have Ice Cream industry experience and professional fluency in English and preferably in Spanish 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in product & project management in the Dairy and/or Ice Cream industries, preferably in multi-national companies with strong, intercultural competence 

  • Extensive market and customer know-how in industrial food processing, ideally in Dairy and/or Ice Cream business 

  • Excellent relationship and communication skills (customer & internal) - distilling complex information into concise and impactful messages  

  • Highly structured with ability to manage transversal projects and lead international teams 

  • Goal-oriented & a strategic team-player 

  • Self-starter with a positive can-do attitude 

  • Open to traveling
