Job Description:

Job Summary:  The QE -SCQM (Supply Chain Quality Management) manages the supplier contract execution and is responsible for supplier On Quality / On Time performance.  The QE - SCQM Performs an effective control of supplier activities, securing a close understanding of supplier overall situation and scope and implements recovery, improvement and development plans in order to secure delivery of the products and services in conformity with contract.  The QE - SCQM coordinates the interfaces of all the stakeholders involved in the supplier operations management and secures coordination with the corresponding Multi-Functional or Divisional Teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Quality Management:  60%

  • Act as focal point towards the suppliers for operational activities and contract management, and as ambassador of the supplier toward internal functions
  • Assess suppliers during tendering phase and contribute to the selection decision
  • Manage supply chain & quality aspects of the contract, being responsible for On Time, On Quality (and on Cost when applicable) performance
  • Manage supplier quality Approval/Authorization; ensure that suppliers are compliant with certifications required in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor or support new product introduction to ensure industrial qualification maturity before serial phase.
  • Assess the Supplier capacity, capability & performance and contribute to the Supplier development
  • Identify the supplier industrial risks and propose mitigation actions.
  • Work out short term recovery plans
  • Initiate and manage supplier performance improvement projects, set long term development targets together with the suppliers and in coordination with the Supplier Development Team.
  • Contribute to the annual Supplier Evaluation Development (SED).
  • Reports the situation of the supplier on operational performance (KPIs, assessments...) to next level Management.
  • Maintains a close communication and coordination with the operational teams at internal customer sites, to ensure the contribution of all relevant functions to the delivery of procured goods or services.
  • Trains the suppliers on AH Group Contractual Industrial and AHI requirement standards.

Continuous Improvement:  30%

  • Work with customer (internal/external) demands manifested in various forms of communication (Service Letter Agreement, meetings, conference call, e-mails) and utilize these with through the CI process.
  • Work with team members to implement Supply Chain Corrective / Improvement / Development missions using a variety of tools and techniques based on Advanced Product Quality Planning principles
  • Support supplier in finding solutions to complex technical supplier issues using appropriate tools (i.e. PPS, Six Sigma, 8D, etc.) and personal technical background.
  • Track and report, at commodity level, to his/ her management and his / her internal customers the supply chain progress.
  • Facilitate PPS projects for AHI and supplier chain
  • Contribute to AHI internal audit program and support AHI internal Auditor training

Leadership:  10%

  • Use personal background, experience and AH SCQM processes to work Delivery and Quality issues at suppliers in line with strategic Procurement strategy.
  • Self-sufficiently and independently manage all tasks and activities and ensure proper reporting

Qualified Experience and Training:   

Education:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Aviation, or Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Preferred

  • Master Degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field

Experience:

Required

  • Minimum five (5) years of technical experience in the field of Quality, Supply Chain or Engineering.

Preferred

  • Three (3) years of Supply Chain Quality Experience

Licensure/Certifications:

Required

  • Experience in Root Cause Analysis E.g. Practical Problem Solving or similar 8D type tools
  • AS9100 Auditor or equivalent training

Preferred

  • IPCA+ (Industrial Process Capability Assessment) or Lean Six Sigma type training
  • APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) training or knowledge
  • APICS Supply Chain Management
