POSITION SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Lead will oversee that their team safely and accurately receives, transports, and ships materials and finished goods. This individual must perform their job in a manner that complies with all safety and procedural SOPs. The lead position is an hourly position in a fast-paced production environment. The position is responsible for maintaining a team environment, tracking accurate packaging and raw material, keeping up with 5s standards cleaning, following all health and safety regulations, and other assigned duties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee safe and efficient operation of various warehouse equipment and inventory management devices.
  • Lead a team of 3-6 Material Handlers.
  • Responsible for maintaining a team environment.
  • Responsible for tracking accurate packaging and raw materials.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to receiving, loading, and unloading of trucks and adhere to all company policies and regulations.
  • Keeping up with 5s standards cleaning.
  • Oversee daily or weekly cleaning of the shipping & receiving areas including equipment and fork trucks.
  • Oversee that the team is familiar with all safety procedures and requirements for handling raw materials or heavy loads and know when and where to wear personal protective equipment.
  • Responsible for the team following all health and safety regulations.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of forklift experience in manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. several times each day. Ability to stand for periods of up to 4 hours at a time. Ability to perform repetitive bending and stretching on a daily basis. Ensuring that employees properly use and maintain their PPE and follow PPE policies and rules. The wearing of contact lenses is prohibited.
  • Organizational Skills: Must be able to take and follow directions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills. Must be able to speak and understand English.
  • Problem Solving: High degree of analysis, problem-solving, and creativity.
  • Technical Skills: Must be able to solve mathematical problems at the high school level. Must have completed forklift training.
  • Honesty/Integrity: Acts with integrity. Is trusted and seen as a direct, truthful individual. Presents the truth in an appropriate and helpful manner. Keeps confidences, admits mistakes; doesn’t misinterpret him/herself for personal gain. Can be trusted to work for extended periods of time without direct supervision.
