Ensures the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods and products to feed business operations and customer demand.

Core responsibilities and duties (but not limited to):

  • Unloading of vehicles, by hand or with a forklift truck, and the checking in of stock
  • Check and report any damaged or missing goods
  • Sorting and placing materials or items on to racks, and shelves either by hand or using a fork lift truck  
  • Collecting items from throughout the warehouse, preparing and completing warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to a schedule. 
  • Ensure delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with production standards
  • Performing warehouse inventory controls via scanner and or through a computer.
  • Stock counting and location checks.
  • Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures
  • Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others
  • Perform routine maintenance on the forklift truck
  • Ensure delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with production standards
  • Make recommendations to aid efficiency and add value
  • Cleaning and maintaining of the warehouse

Experience.

Counterbalance Forklift truck license  

Experience in a fast-paced target-driven warehouse environment

VNA or reach truck license

Previous use of Dexterity

Knowledge & qualifications

Knowledge: from ability to follow instructions to specialist skills. Qualifications: educational, vocational & professional; any requirement must be justified on factors related to the work.

Awareness of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment

Certified to operate forklift

First aid trained

The role will include bending, stretching, reaching, and lifting so will require a good range of mobility
