Dandelion Energy is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our growing team in Arlington, VA. In this role, you will manage customer accounts, own the invoicing and collections processes, and partner with other team members to continue the development of a robust A/R function.
This team member will report to the Controller. The ideal candidate has a background in B2B and B2C collections, rigorous attention to detail, can communicate effectively with customers and internal partners, and is a strong team player.
This role is a hybrid position based out of our DC headquarters in Courthouse, Arlington. Our fun, lively office is one block from Courthouse metro station (Orange and Silver lines), and only a 10 min drive / 20 min bike ride from downtown DC. Equally accessible from Northern VA, Bethesda, etc.
Key Responsibilities
Own day-to-day A/R function for all customer accounts including B2B and B2C
- Invoice customers in an accurate and timely manner
- Collect outstanding balances and apply payments in our accounting system (Netsuite)
- Apply credit memos to outstanding invoices as applicable
- Customer outreach by phone and email to follow up on late or delinquent balances
- Utilizing CRM (Salesforce) and ERP (NetSuite) to manage and monitor customer accounts
- Regular reporting on collections trends and A/R aging
- Participate in monthly close, annual audits and quarterly reviews
- Other duties as assigned
Contribute to further development / automation of A/R Function
- Partner with other team members to identify and execute opportunities for improvement and automation
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in collections and billing required
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (accounting, finance, business) is required
- Experience with NetSuite preferred
- Experience with our other systems is a plus (including Salesforce, Tableau, Stripe, Centime)
- Experience with A/R process improvement is a plus
