Position Overview
The primary responsibility of the VP - Information Technology is to manage all aspects of information technology operations in a live casino environment. The VP will be responsible for ensuring the network and technology adequately support the high demands of the casino and studio operational environments. This role will manage a team of information technology professionals consisting of director-level to junior staff. This VP role is an integral part of the leadership team and will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer of the company. The VP of Information Technology will partner with LVSC Corporate IT in the development and execution of an enterprise-wide system and technical architecture. The incumbent will be instrumental in identifying and analyzing the enterprise’s business drivers then aligning a systems strategy to support them.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Sands Digital Services policies, practices, and procedures. All Sands Digital Services Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manages all aspects of information technology operations, training, and workforce planning for a team of information technology professionals consisting of director-level to junior staff of 15 to 25 team members.
Ensures the network and technology meet and support the high demands of the casino and studio operational environments.
Manage and oversee all information technology administrative and human resource duties.
Maintain the enterprise reference architecture by considering near term and long-term business drivers.
Manage the architecture: continuously monitor the models and update them as necessary to show changes, additions, and alterations. Consistently revisit the long-term architecture making alterations to it and projects as new efforts and strategies are identified.
Stay up to date with technology trends to ensure reference architecture and strategy stays current. Understand successes and failures in the marketplace to better guide the company’s architecture strategy.
Ensure an overall architecture with consistent uses of data and significant reuse of technology and business services throughout the company.
Assist in reviewing proposed solution architectures, both service based and custom development, for technical compliance.
Forecast needs and skills requirements for architecture based on priorities.
Builds and maintains a strong team in areas of accountability, collaboration, stewardship, technology, and business interface.
Actively participates in management and employee development programs to meet set organizational objectives.
Mentor and develop direct reports to achieve strategic objectives through career goals and development plans.
Conduct personnel management, including hiring, coaching, professional development, training, salary administration and performance management.
Perform job duties in a safe manner.
Attend work as scheduled on a consistent and regular basis.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
At least 21 years of age.
Proof of authorization to work in studio location.
Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy.
12 years of IT and business/industry work experience in IT operations.
A minimum of 10 years progressively responsible leadership experience in IT operations.
Combined experience preferred to be based in broadcast, studio and/or casino industries.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT/Engineering or a related field.
Proven success in strategic management and leadership skills.
Demonstrated experience in delivering/enabling highly available, scalable and secure enterprise deployments.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and interact appropriately with management, other Team Members and outside contacts of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
