SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Oversee financial control, reporting, tax, treasury and accounts payable functions. Assist the General Manager – Finance & IT with financial management and accounting tasks by coordinating and summarising budgets and operating results. Supervise staff in preparing and finalizing monthly accounts and reports to ensure timely and accurate information for management review.
This position is based in Shah Alam, Selangor, reporting to the General Manager - Finance & IT.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Accounting and Payables team, ensuring smooth financial control and reporting for Malaysia and Singapore.

  • Oversee compliance with monthly, tertiary, and yearly financial reports with Jotun standards and local regulations.

  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process, tracking variances with actuals to adhere to the budget.

  • Review and project monthly/quarterly cash flow, ensuring accurate information for management review.

  • Ensure the monthly reporting process is standardised and consistently improved for accuracy and promptness.

  • Coordinate with statutory/internal auditors and tax consultants to ensure compliance with internal controls and tax regulations.

Qualification:

  • Professional qualification in Accounting/Finance; CPA, ACCA or equivalent certification preferred.

  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting related role. Experience in Audit roles will be an added advantage.

  • You have hands on experience in financial principles, accounting standards, tax and local regulations relating to accounting and taxes.

  • At least 3 years of people management experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Power BI and PPT).

  • You have strong communication skill and a team player.

  • You have ownership in your function and takes responsibility in developing people.
