Work Schedule: Must be flexible to work weekends and overtime, Hours and shifts are subject to change.

Shift: 1B Thurs-Sat./ every other Wed. 5am-5pm

Meet the team:

Warehousing position that is expected complete all tasks under general supervision. Material Handler 2 performs a variety of warehouse functions including but not limited to receiving, shipping, manufacturing support, and inventory control. Position in responsible for completing the physical and systematic movement of material in accordance with all safety, cGMP, and quality procedures. Position is expected to transact all material timely and compile and maintain all required documents for material movement as per quality procedures. This position may work with raw materials, dangerous goods, WIP materials, finished goods, returned goods, R&D materials, etc.

  • You’ll need a moderate understanding of general job aspects and some understanding of the detailed aspects of the job.
  • You’ll apply acquired job and company knowledge of policies and procedures to complete semi-routine tasks.

What makes you successful: 

  • Receive materials, packages and/or finished goods on a daily basis. Verify the quality, type and number of materials received are correct and preform ERP transactions as necessary. 
  • Unload, load, put away and retrieve material utilizing hand trucks, powered forklifts, or other material handling equipment.
  • Pick, pack and deliver materials and/or packages to staging/production areas or to internal customers.
  • Performs and/or assists in cycle count activities.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
  • Has the ability to operate computer systems and software applications (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of database basics such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems (Oracle, SAP).
  • Two or more years of forklift experience with the ability to obtain a forklift certification. Turret truck experience is a plus.
  • Acceptable driving record.
  • California driver license class A is a plus.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English. 
  • Solid written and verbal English communication skills as well as strong mathematical skills.

Experience and Education:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 2-4 years of related experience and a High School diploma/certificate or equivalent.

Language Skills: 

Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Examples of English language proficiency may include (but are not limited to): ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to verbally communicate with leadership, employees, and auditors; ability to comprehend spoken language.

Physical Demands: 

Employees in this position may be required to perform the following physical activities: standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods of time; frequent use of the hands, fingers, wrist, and greater arm to handle small materials, tools, boxes, and trays; lifting and carrying objects up to 50Ibs; occasional overhead reaches and lifts; occasional lifts and reaches below the knee; occasional pushing and pulling of materials and objects with moderate forces; occasional crouching/kneeling, twisting, and squatting movements.

Work Environment: 

Employees may be exposed to the following environmental conditions while performing this job: work near moving parts, work with chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, exposure to intense light and/or intermittent light, fast-paced work, and elevated noise levels.
