Position Summary/Purpose:
Grand Canyon University's K-12 Learning Lounge is seeking a Learning Lounge LEADs Supervisor to oversee and guide a team of K-12 Learning Lounge LEADs (student workers). This position is responsible for managing daily operations, supporting collaboration among the student worker team, and assist with relationship management for students, families and partnership schools. The LEAD Supervisor will assist the leadership team with operational and administrative tasks, lead special initiatives and play a critical role in fostering a positive and productive learning environment.
Primary Responsibilities /Accountabilities/ Essential Functions:
What you will do:
Provide leadership and guidance to K-12 Learning Lounge LEADs, offering ongoing support, feedback and coaching to ensure the delivery of high-quality tutoring and mentorship services.
Offer guidance and support to LEADs in managing student relations with all students, including challenging students.
Oversee K-12 LEADs at the Learning Lounge locations on the GCU campus and/or at the BREWERS location
Provide structure at the Learning Lounge locations and delegate tasks, responsibilities to LEADs
Collaborate with other student workers that tutor K-12 students to determine Learning Lounge needs and provide information to leadership team
Ensuring and fostering a safe and inclusive environment for the students, families and LEADs of the Learning Lounge locations
Support student behavior management to ensure effective tutoring
Serve as a liaison between the LEADs and leadership team to communicate any issues, suggestions or operational needs.
Assist with planning and implementing special events and workshops for students, families and LEADs
Work alongside the leadership team to implement modifications at the Learning Lounge location
Overseeing daily tutoring operations and supporting LEADs in their roles
Communicate policies with families or guests of the Learning Lounge in a professional manner
Implement, document and lead safety protocols following the policies of the Learning Lounge
Assist the leadership team with administrative tasks and lead initiatives of the Learning Lounge

Experience/ Education
Interest in K-12 education and tutoring students in academic subjects, socialization and community connection
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a good command of the English language. Spanish fluency is appreciated
Problem-solving ability, time management skills, ability to identify problems, evaluate alternative solutions, and make final recommendations
Spanish appreciated
